Itineraries
DAY 1
Ahmedabad – Little Rann of Kutch (90km / 2 hrs)
Today, you'll make your way to the Little Rann of Kutch. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the resort. Here, you'll embark on an adventure in the desert, exploring the arid landscape in an open jeep. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as Wild Ass, Desert Fox, Blue Bull, Blackbuck, Wolf, Jackal, and various snake species. The region is also a haven for birdwatching, with numerous bird species to be spotted. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to visit the homes of the Rabari and Banjara tribes, two important indigenous communities in the area. Your overnight stay will be in the Little Rann of Kutch.
DAY 2
Little Rann of Kutch – Bhuj (260km / 5hrs)
Today, your journey takes you to Bhuj. Upon reaching Bhuj, you will have the opportunity to explore several fascinating places. Your visit will include the Aina Mahal Museum, the Prag Mahal Museum, the Bhartiya Sanskriti Darsan Exhibition, and the cenotaphs of the royal family. You'll spend the night at your hotel in Bhuj.
DAY 3
Bhuj – Hodka Village (65km / 2hrs)
Your journey continues as you head to the Shaam E Sarhad Resort in Hodka Village. At this unique resort, you'll have the opportunity to stay in traditional Bhungas (mud houses) or eco tents. Upon arrival, you'll be immersed in a cultural experience that includes traditional dinners, folk music performances, bonfire evenings, and the chance to gaze at the stars (subject to availability of clear skies). You'll also have the opportunity for meaningful interactions with the local people of Hodka. Your overnight stay will be at the resort, making for a memorable and authentic cultural experience.
DAY 4
Hodka – Banni & Pachcham Region - Hodka (200km / 4hrs)
Today's adventure will take you to explore the Banni and Pachcham regions on the outskirts of the Great Rann of Kutch. Your itinerary includes visits to Dhordo village, Bhirandiyara village, Ludiya village, and Khavda village, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture. Later, you'll journey to Kalo Dungar, also known as Black Hill, and pay a visit to the Dattatray Temple. This vantage point provides breathtaking views of the Great Rann and is an excellent spot to witness a mesmerizing sunset. Afterward, you'll return to the resort for an overnight stay.
DAY 5
Hodka – Mandvi (150km/4hrs)
Your today's adventures include a visit to the Botanical Garden and Ooty Your journey continues as you make your way to the coastal town of Mandvi. Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit the exquisite Vijay Villas Palace, which served as the summer retreat for the royal family. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy beach activities and witness the stunning sunset. You'll spend the night at your hotel in Mandvi, taking in the coastal beauty of the area.
DAY 6
Mandvi
Today, you have a free day to tailor your activities to your interests. You can choose to visit an organic farm, explore the 72 Jain Temple Complex, or take a trip to the Mandvi Port shipping yard. At the shipping yard, you can witness skilled workers using hand tools to craft large vessels and shaping seasoned timber into magnificent ships, with carrying capacities ranging from 250 tons to 1000 tons. Alternatively, you can opt for a leisurely day at the beach. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel, allowing you the flexibility to enjoy the activities of your choice.
DAY 7
Mandvi – Anjar - Rajkot (300kms/6hrs)
Your journey today takes you to Rajkot via Anjar, a city with a rich history dating back over 1400 years. Anjar is home to the ancient Bhareswar Mahadev Temple, which is around 1200 years old, showcasing the region's historical significance. Additionally, Anjar is known for the Jesal-Toral Grave, an important cultural site. Upon reaching Rajkot, you'll check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy, with opportunities for shopping and entertainment in the Race Course area. You'll spend the night at your hotel in Rajkot.
DAY 8
Rajkot – Akshardham - Ahmedabad (250km/5hrs)
Your journey today leads you to Ahmedabad. Upon arriving in the city, your itinerary includes visits to significant landmarks, starting with the Gandhi Ashram, a place deeply connected to Mahatma Gandhi's life and work. Next, you'll explore the Akshardham Temple, a magnificent Hindu temple complex known for its intricate architecture and spiritual significance.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Adalaj Stepwell, an architectural marvel and historical site. The day's exploration will conclude with a drop-off in the evening at either the airport or the railway station, marking the end of your tour.
