DAY 1

Arrive Delhi and Drive to Manali (14hrs.)

You're scheduled to arrive at Delhi Railway Station and then continue your journey to Manali by road for an overnight trip

DAY 2

Arrival in Manali & Day at Leisure

Upon your arrival in Manali, you will check in at your hotel, and the day will be free for leisure. Manali, a stunning hill station nestled in the Beas River Valley, is situated at an elevation of over 2000 meters above sea level. It can be reached via the national highway leading to the Ladakh region and is approximately 40 km from the scenic hill resort of Kullu.

Manali is known for its snow-clad mountain peaks, lush flora, and diverse fauna, making it a magnet for tourists, particularly during the holiday season. The name 'Manali' is derived from the words 'Manu' and 'Alaya,' signifying the 'Abode of Manu.' According to legend, Manu was a sage who, after a great flood, is believed to have reestablished human life. An ancient temple dedicated to this sage can be found in the old Manali village.

Apart from this, Manali boasts several other prominent attractions, including the Hadimba Temple, Manali Sanctuary, Arjun Gufa, and Jagatsukh. Enjoy your overnight stay in Manali, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty and culture of this charming hill town.

DAY 3

Manali - Local Sightseeing & Solang Valley Visit

After breakfast, it's time to explore the popular tourist attractions of Manali. In the morning, we'll head to Solang Valley, where you can indulge in thrilling adventure activities such as Zorbing and Paragliding.

Later, you can visit the Tibetan Monastery, which serves as not only a place of worship but also a cultural center that showcases Tibetan traditions. Additionally, you can explore the natural springs and the sandstone temples at Vashist Village. Pay a visit to the Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to Hidimba, the wife of Bhima, one of the five Pandava brothers from the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Don't forget to explore the Manu Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to the sage Manu.

In the evening, you can unwind at the Club House, and then return to your hotel or choose to spend your free time at the lively Mall Road. Enjoy your overnight stay in Manali after a day filled with exploration and adventure.

DAY 4

Manali - Manikaran - Manali

The day following breakfast is reserved for a visit to Manikaran, home to the hottest Sulphur Spring Waters in the world. This religious site attracts a significant number of Hindu and Sikh devotees.

On your return journey towards Kullu, you'll make a stop at the renowned Kullu Shawl Industry, offering an opportunity for some shopping, perfect for finding souvenirs for your loved ones. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also enjoy river rafting at Manikaran.

In the evening, you'll head back to your hotel in Manali, bringing a fulfilling day of exploration and experiences to a close.

DAY 5

Manali - Rohtang Pass Excursion (50kms) - at Own Cost

After an early breakfast, prepare for a captivating drive to Snow Point, situated along the road to Rohtang Pass. Please note that Rohtang Pass is closed on Tuesdays. This pass is not only known for its breathtaking scenery but also holds strategic importance for India. The Manali-Leh Highway, a part of NH 21, traverses through Rohtang Pass.

The name "Rohtang" translates to 'ground of corpses,' a somber reference to the numerous lives lost while attempting to cross it. Beyond serving as a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti, Rohtang Pass also provides access to Pangi and the enchanting valley of Leh. The pass treats you to stunning views of glacier-clad peaks, the Lahaul Valley, and the Chandra River. From Rohtang, you can catch sight of the twin peaks of Geypan.

Following your visit to Rohtang Pass, you'll head to the famous Solang Valley. Solang Valley, also locally known as Solang Nullah, is celebrated as a prime location for adventure activities in Himachal Pradesh. For adrenaline enthusiasts, there's no better place in the Kullu Valley than Solang to partake in activities like parachuting, paragliding, skating, and zorbing. Situated at an elevation of 8,500 feet above sea level, Solang offers not only adventure but also lush greenery, apple orchards, snow-capped peaks, and serene lakes that attract countless visitors.

By evening, you'll return to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in the comfort of your accommodation, reflecting on the day's adventures.

DAY 6

Manali - Naggar Castle - Manali

After breakfast, today's excursion takes us to Naggar Castle. This historical structure was once the residence of the Royal family until it was occupied by British forces. This occupation led to certain alterations in the design and architecture of Naggar Castle. Consequently, you can now observe an additional staircase, fireplaces, and chimneys inside the Castle, showcasing a unique blend of English and Indian architectural influences.

In its entirety, Naggar Castle is a distinctive edifice constructed from wood and stone, and it also houses a historic temple and an art museum. Enhancing the castle's allure is a small temple situated in its courtyard, known as Jagti Patt. Although the Naggar Castle has undergone some renovation in the modern era, its primary heritage design remains intact, making it a must-visit destination in Manali.

In the evening, you'll return to your hotel, where you can enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Manali.

DAY 7

Manali to Dalhousie (11hrs.)

After breakfast and completing the check-out formalities at your hotel in Manali, you'll embark on a journey towards Dalhousie. Dalhousie is a renowned hill station in Himachal Pradesh, known for its snow-capped mountains and serene beauty.

Dalhousie has also become home to several Tibetan refugees, and you can find painted rock carvings depicting Buddhist deities along the south side of the ridge. Additionally, you can explore the British-era churches of St. John (built in 1863) and St. Francis (constructed in 1894), which are nestled among the pine trees at opposite ends of the ridge.

The market areas at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk are connected by lanes known as Thandi Sarak (Cold Road) and Garam Sarak (Hot Road). The latter lane typically receives more sunshine.

Explore St. Andrew's Church and St. Patrick's Church at Balun, St. Francis Church at Subhash Chowk, and St. John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. Subhash Baoli: Visit Subhash Baoli, a serene spot surrounded by majestic trees. It was at this enchanting location that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose spent time in 1937, contemplating and meditating. The place holds historical significance and offers a tranquil atmosphere for reflection.

Chandigarh holds a distinctive status as it serves as the capital of two Indian states, Punjab and Haryana. However, the city itself does not fall under the jurisdiction of either state. DAY 11

Chandigarh to Delhi Drive (5hrs.)

After breakfast, complete the check-out process at your hotel. The day's agenda includes local sightseeing in Chandigarh, where you'll visit some notable attractions:

Rock Garden: Explore the famous Rock Garden, a unique and artistic space that features sculptures made from recycled materials like broken tiles, bangles, and industrial waste.

Rose Garden: Visit the beautiful Rose Garden, known for its vast collection of roses and a serene environment ideal for a leisurely stroll.

Sukhna Lake: Enjoy the picturesque Sukhna Lake, where you can unwind by the water, take a boat ride, or simply appreciate the natural beauty.

After your sightseeing tour, you'll have lunch (at your own expense). Following this, you'll embark on your journey back to Delhi by road. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city.

DAY 12

Delhi - Local and Akshardham Temple

Following your morning breakfast, you'll embark on a local sightseeing tour of Delhi, the capital of India, which is steeped in history and culture. Discover the city's rich heritage by visiting some of its iconic monuments. Here's a glimpse of what you can explore:

Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir): Start your journey with a visit to the Laxmi Narayan Temple, also known as Birla Mandir. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi and is renowned for its architectural grandeur.
Qutub Minar: Explore the historic Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a towering example of Indo-Islamic architecture. It stands as a symbol of Delhi's rich past.
Lotus Temple: Visit the Lotus Temple, a Bahá'í House of Worship known for its distinctive lotus-shaped architecture. It's a place of serenity and meditation.

Delhi Hotel to Delhi Airport / Railway Station Drop

After having breakfast, it's time to check out from your hotel. You will then proceed back to Delhi by road. Once you arrive in Delhi, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station to catch your flight or train back home, concluding your memorable journey. Safe travels!
