DAY 1

Athens (Arrival)

Upon your arrival at Athens Airport, you will be greeted by your Tour Representative, who will then drive you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and unwind. Enjoy your overnight stay in Athens, and get ready to explore the city in the days to come.

DAY 2

Athens

Today, after enjoying your breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel for a half-day morning tour, where you'll delve into the rich history and culture of Athens. Here's what your day holds:

Syntagma Square: You'll start your tour at Syntagma Square, a central hub in Athens that's home to the Greek Parliament and various significant institutions.

House of Parliament: Next, you'll see the House of Parliament, where Greece's legislative decisions are made.

Memorial to the Unknown Soldier: Pay homage at the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, a touching tribute to the nation's fallen heroes.

Athens Academy, University, and National Library: Your tour continues with visits to the Athens Academy, University, and National Library, each of which contributes to the city's intellectual and cultural heritage.

Hadrian's Arch: Admire Hadrian's Arch, an ancient monument signifying the historical boundary of the ancient city.

Temple of Olympian Zeus: You'll pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, an impressive temple dedicated to the king of the Greek gods.

DAY 3

Thens – Ferry To Santorini

Today, you'll embark on an early morning journey to the port for a ferry ride to Santorini, often referred to as Greece's most beautiful island. Santorini is a captivating blend of towering cliffs, deep blue waters, and charming whitewashed villages. It is the southernmost island of the Cyclades, situated in the southern part of the Aegean Sea. Upon your arrival in Santorini, you'll check in to your hotel.

Later in the day, you'll head to the highest point on the island, the Prophet Elias Monastery, where you'll be treated to breathtaking 360° views of Santorini. From there, you'll visit the picturesque villages of Pyrgos and Megalochori, both of which offer a glimpse into the island's unique character.

Your journey will then take you to the most iconic village on the island, Oia, which is perched on a steep slope of the volcanic caldera. You can explore its charming little shops that offer traditional, handmade products and enjoy the view of the famous blue-domed churches that have become a symbol of Greece.

As the day comes to a close, be sure not to miss the spectacular sunset in Santorini, a moment that fills you with awe and excitement. Watch as the sun disappears below the horizon, creating a mesmerizing display of colors in the sky.

DAY 4

Santorini – High Speed Ferry Crete

In the morning, you have some free time to explore Santorini at your own pace. Take this opportunity to stroll through the charming town, discover its unique shops and cafes, or simply enjoy the stunning views of the island.

Later, you'll proceed to the Santorini port to catch a high-speed ferry to the island of Crete. As the evening approaches, you'll disembark at the port of Heraklion. Heraklion, the capital city of Crete, is a place of rich history, beautiful architecture, and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.

Crete is not only the largest Greek island but also the fifth-largest in the Mediterranean Sea. Nestled in the northern part of the island is Heraklion, where you'll be spending the night. Get ready to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Crete during your stay in Heraklion.

DAY 5

Crete

Today, you have the day at your disposal to explore the beauty of Crete on your own terms. You can take your time to wander through the captivating landscapes, enjoy the local cuisine, or simply relax on the island's picturesque shores.

Alternatively, you have the option to partake in a half-day Knossos Tour. If you choose this tour, you'll proceed to the Archaeological site of Knossos Palace, a site of immense historical and cultural significance. Knossos Palace is a monumental symbol of the Minoan civilization, renowned for its impressive construction, use of luxury materials, advanced architectural planning, and immense size.

As you explore the site, you'll be captivated by the labyrinthine pattern of around 1,200 rooms spread across 20,000 square meters. At the heart of this complex lies an enormous courtyard. The palace's use of diverse building materials, as well as the presence of marble revetment, showcases an advanced level of technology. You'll also encounter various architectural and structural features, including lightwells and complex drainage and water-supply systems.

After this fascinating journey into ancient history, you'll return to your hotel in Crete, where you can reflect on your experiences and enjoy an overnight stay on this beautiful island.

DAY 6

Crete – Overnight Ferry To Athens

Today, you have the day at leisure to explore Heraklion town at your own pace or simply relax on the beautiful beaches in the Heraklion region. Whether you prefer to delve into the local culture, sample the cuisine, or soak up the sun on the sandy shores, the day is yours to enjoy the best that Crete has to offer.

In the evening, you'll make your way to the Heraklion port, where you'll board an overnight ferry bound for Athens. During the ferry ride, you'll have the opportunity to engage in various onboard activities, whether that's enjoying a delightful meal, watching the sunset over the sea, or simply unwinding in your cabin.

You'll spend the night in your cabin on board the ferry, and as you drift away into the night, you can reminisce about your experiences in Crete and look forward to what lies ahead in Athens.

DAY 7

Departure

Today, it's time to check out from your accommodation. You'll be driven to the airport for your flight back home. As you depart, you'll bid farewell to the new friends you've made and carry with you the memories of your journey through Greece, from the enchanting islands to the historical treasures of Athens and Crete. Safe travels, and may your adventures continue in the future.
